Join us as we partner with Southern Wine & Spirits in presenting a 5 course Terra D'oro wine dinner featuring a special inspired menu by chef Chris McClary.

Terra D'oro is offering flagship wines from their collections. Terra D'oros' estate wine making is located in Plymouth, CA. Amador County, the epicenter of the Mother Lode, has witnessed its fair share of fortunes over the years. It was there during the Gold Rush that pioneers discovered treasures buried in the rich earth; it was also there that miners planted vineyards to quench their thirst. Little did they know that they’d be sowing the seeds of our eventual good fortune.

Terra d’Oro wines were first released in 1973 under the Montevina label, the first Amador County winery to produce wine since Prohibition ended. We quickly earned a reputation for crafting robust, full-flavored red wines, Zinfandel and Barbera in particular. Word spread, and a short time later, Amador’s historic wine industry was revived.

1st Course - Cucumber Ahi Tuna Roll - dikon radish sprouts, enoki mushrooms, ginger soy sauce

Chenin Viognier

straw color with hints of a green, iridescent hue in the glass. Engaging aromas of juicy tropical fruit, mango and apricot give way to an alluring palate of grapefruit, citrus and pineapple. This wine is lively, refreshing and well-balanced, with crisp, clean acidity—the perfect white wine for a warm afternoon by the pool or an aperitif at sunset.

2nd Course- Wild Boar Ragu - tagliatelle pasta with pepadew peppers

Terra D’Oro Barbera

The Terra d’Oro Barbera is lush and inviting, showcasing notes of violets, blackberry jam, smoke, mocha, dried oregano and anise aromas that graze the nose. Nuanced flavors of ripe plum and wild strawberry lead to a jammy midpalate and a long, juicy finish. The Terra d’Oro Barbera is an extremely versatile wine, and the acid is the perfect complement for dark meats and game.

3rd Course - Braised Lamb Shank Lollipop - 7 grain rice with balsalmic tomatoes

Deaver Zinfandel

Deep garnet color with lifted aromas of dark fruit, clove and spicy oak. The palate is focused with crisp and juicy layers of ripe blackberry, spicy plum and soft chewy tannins. The baked spice components add complexity to this bold wine and support a great balance of power and restraint.

4th Course - Toffee Coffee Chocolate Flan

Zinfandel Port

While some people say, "any port in a storm", we strongly suggest ours. Terra d'Oro Zinfandel Port displays aromas of raisined berry fruit, sugared dates, chocolate, caramel and orange peel. The wine's rich, lush, grapy flavors also evoke raisin, cocoa, coffee and toffee. This delicious, fortified wine is perfect on its own or as an accompaniment to chocolate, chocolate, chocolate...don't like chocolate? Try it with Stilton cheese and toasted walnuts.
