Add to Calendar
Howard Levy’s harmonica and piano playing along with Chris Siebold’s masterful resonator guitar work (plus his singing on a few numbers) covers a wide variety of music: jazz, blues, pop classical and original compositions that transcend genre or category. The duo, which celebrates Howard and Chris’ spirit of adventure and improvisation, has performed to great acclaim in venues in the US, Europe and South America.
When musicians have so much musical experience and ability to share, it’s sometimes good to take a “less is more” approach, at least when it comes to instrumentation. Howard Levy’s virtuosic harmonica and piano playing, Chris Siebold’s masterful resonator guitar work (and soulful singing on a few numbers) - that’s all you need for an evening of music that shows their wide range of influences and experiences: jazz, blues, pop classical and original compositions that transcend genre or category. All the while, the spirit of adventure and improvisation of jazz permeates the music created by these two masters.
Multiple Grammy-Award Winner Howard Levy is an acknowledged master of the diatonic harmonica, a superb pianist, innovative composer, recording artist, bandleader, teacher, and producer. His musical travels have taken him all over the geographical world and the musical map. Chris Siebold, a guitarist hand-picked by Howard, draws from a deep well of influences and a wide variety of styles to match: from bluegrass to bebop, big band jazz, rock, R&B and much more in his 20-year career.
