Katherine Nagy is a local songwriter & singer who released her debut album “Heartsongs” last year at The Jazz Kitchen. She will join us again for the release of her newest collection of songs “Hold on to Love”. Katherine’s performance will include her own songs as well as tunes that have shaped her musical journey. She will be accompanied by some of Indianapolis finest musicians including Austin Johnson, Tim Wright, Dave Murray, Jane Rupert, Mina Keohane & George Tyler.
Katherine grew up in Ireland and has lived in Puerto Rico & Spain. Her songwriting style is influenced by the music of these cultures & her love of folk music. Her lyrics reflect on the mysteries of life and love. She released her first EP “Gypsy Lady” in March 2017, a single “Dark Night” in June 2017, an EP “Fly High” in October 2017 and her first full length album “Heartsongs” in November 2018. All of her music is available on iTunes & Spotify.
She graduated from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN with a business degree and worked at a consulting firm in Chicago prior to becoming a professional musician. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and three children.
She performs around Indianapolis areas at multiple venues, festivals and for private events. She has become a regular for the Indy St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with visits to the IndyStyle morning TV show, the mayor’s downtown Greening of the Canal, Indy Irishfest and her own annual St. Patrick’s Day show.
